Wolf Boy

by Gabriel Carrillo

Wolf Boy
	You are soft as silk
Wolf Boy
	You are hard as steel
Wolf Boy
	You cut like a razor
Wolf Boy

Wolf Boy
	Your hair hangs
		Like an animals
			Long and thick
		A cascade of darkness
			That makes your skin
				Seem
			Yet more pale

Wolf Boy
	Your soft
		and secret smile
	would melt stone
		harder than your will;
	It is the doorway
		to the world
			of your true
				and hidden face.

Wolf Boy
	Lying
		In the sun
	Basking
		On the rocks
			Like a lizard boy
	Stretching
		Moving
			Oh so slowly
Until you explode in a burst
			of sudden speed.

Wolf Boy
	Crouched
		in the warm dark
			You growled
And shook my wrist in your teeth
			Then laid it down
Where it no longer blocked your way.
Your touch burned with coool fire
			That shivered up my spine
				And exploded in my head.

Wolf Boy
	Your love is a sword
		On which I impale myself
			Smiling
	Tear my liver
		with your teeth,
	Let my blood pour red
		Down your muzzle;
Is that not always the price paid
		For touching
			Fire from Heaven?

Wolf Boy
	Standing in the Shadows
Wolf Boy
	Howling at the moon
Wolf Boy
	Cut me with your love
Wolf Boy
